Graduated from the Law Faculty of Charles University and obtained his Ph.D. degree from the University of Economics in Prague. He also studied postgraduate specialisation courses at the King´s College, London.
In the period 1995–1999 Petr worked as the Manager and later the Director of the European Commission’s project “Accession of the Czech Republic to the EU“ (with responsibilities i.e. for implementation of the EU Single market namely in the area of Capital Markets, Banking and Insurance). 2000-2010 he was a Senior Executive in the GE Capital Bank Group in the Czech Republic and Slovakia responsible for Business development and relations with the Government Authorities and Regulators (including Czech National Bank, EU Commission, New York State Bank and FED). In 2003-2004 Petr worked at the European Headquarters of the General Electric Company in Brussels.
Since 2011 has concentrated on services in the area of Export and Structured Finance, International Trade and Cross-border investment working with Banks, Exporters and Export Credit Agencies in Central and Eastern Europe closely co-operating with the Financial Markets in London
Visiting Lecturer at the University of Economy and Charles University, Prague (Institute of Economic Studies). Key note speaker on numerous International conferences relating to EU/Financial Markets Regulation and Export Trade and Finance.
Board Director of the British Chamber of Commerce in Prague and Member of the Ethical and Arbitration Committee of the Presidium of the Czech Banking Association.
